Jo Rebeka

New Mexico artist Jo Rebeka obtains the raw materials for her one-of-a kind glass jewelry from the island of Murano, the glass-working district of Venice. She creates each piece in a 3500 degree torch flame, combining ancient glass-working techniques with modern shapes and patterns.

The mineral oxides in Jo’s glass are the same elements that give color to precious gemstones, and “fuming” with 24K gold or pure silver adds an iridescent glow to each piece.
